“Emotional dependency is not immature or pathological; it is our greatest strength”

Couples and Marriage Counseling

What is EFT?

EFT is proven through research to be the most effective treatment for couple's therapy. It is a short term therapy, usually taking 12 to 20 sessions, where couples become more secure in their relationship.

Instead of just teaching couples how to fight fair, it focuses on helping couples see and understand one another in a deeper and more meaningful way that naturally effects how they relate to one another.

Families & Individuals

EFT has expanded into Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). Both continue to focus on relational connections within a person and between family members, helping the individual or family unit strengthen and connect to one another in a healthy, more secure way.

“Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a well-known humanistic approach to psychotherapy formulated in the 1980’s and developed in tandem with the science of adult attachment, a profound developmental theory of personality and intimate relationships. This science has expanded our understanding of individual dysfunction and health as well as the nature of love relationships and family bonds. Attachment views human beings as innately relational, social and wired for intimate bonding with others. The EFT model prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions.”
